This record-beating weight has been achieved through further development of Terra Nova's Superlite program, creating exotic fabrics with the best strength to weight ratios possible as well as a totally new scandium (What the hell is Scandium?) alloy pole that is lighter and easier to use, even with the optional pole hood in place.
OK to make this Tikki hut lighter its size has been tweeked but mainly the material is significantly lighter and so is the pole. All this comes at a price, if you race then this is as good as it gets, if you back back then the added durability or the laser will be welcome.
