Premium sports watch for on-board and on-shore lifestyle

Suunto Elementum Ventus is the perfect complement to the perfect yacht, as a highly sophisticated sailing timepiece designed with elegance. With impressive features that allow for predictions of upcoming weather, an advanced compass for navigation and a sailing timer for the perfect race start, the Ventus is a must-have extension to one’s on-board equipment and on-shore lifestyle.
Construction
Elementum Ventus is designed to withstand strong ocean conditions and the knocks that come with them in style. Corrosion-resistant AISI 316L stainless steel outer-case; sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating; high-quality LCD display with metallic display graphics; water resistance to 100 m.

High-pressure sailing
The barometer inside Elementum Ventus measures the absolute air pressure surrounding the watch. The dial displays a 12-hour history of pressure changes as a graph. The latest value of air pressure is also indicated as a reading on the time view. The red/blue lines over the air pressure graph help predict changes in weather. When the air pressure decreases sharper than the red/blue lines, it typically means bad weather is approaching. Rotating the crown displays the full history of air pressure variations.

Time to set sail
A reliable companion in any sailing race, the sailing timer on the Ventus counts down the time before a race start. The sailing timer can be synchronized with an official race countdown time. The sailing timer also functions as an accurate stopwatch.

USING BACKLIGHT & BUTTON LOCK
Turn on the backlight by keeping the middle button pressed. Activate and deactivate the button lock by pressing the crown and the middle button simultaneously.

USING SAILING TIMER & RACE TIMER
Switch between TIME and SAILING TIMER by pressing the middle button.

Activate the SAILING TIMER by pressing the crown once. It will start counting downwards from the present time and give a signal for each critical moment. Synchronize to the next full minute by pressing the lower button.

When reaching zero, the SAILING TIMER turns into a RACE TIMER and starts to count upwards. Stop the timers by pressing the crown once and reset by keeping the lower button pressed.

BROWSING AIR PRESSURE GRAPH
Browse the recorded absolute air pressure graph readings by rotating the crown downwards. Exit by pressing the middle or lower button.

USING THE COMPASS
Activate the COMPASS with the lower button. North is indicated in the outer rim segment and current heading is shown in numbers.

CALIBRATING THE COMPASS
Start the compass calibration by holding the lower button pressed when the compass is activated.

First, keep the device level and with a steady pace rotate it until the outer segments are filled. “LEVEL” blinks on the display if the device is not level or stable. When successful, the device gives a signal and automatically starts the tilt calibration. Keep the device tilted 90˚ until the device sounds and informs if the calibration is successful (”OK”) or not (”FAILED”).
