GLOSSARY
FUNCTION 65
Jack Wolfskin's tried and tested and widely-used functional material. It is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton fine yarns that can be woven very close together.
FUNCTION 65 combines the advantages of both materials: The textile has the good looks and feel of cotton with the robustness and lasting shape of polyester.
In a special process, the fine yarn is often woven into a thin, water-resistant shell material.
The reverse side has a polyurethane coating to support the windproof function and strengthen the material. It also ensures that FUNCTION 65 feels dry on the skin even when wet.
POLYFIBER FILL
A warm polyester padding. It is produced as a thermal liner in different weights/degrees of thermal retention. The compact structure of the fibres absorb virtually no moisture and dry very quickly.
JW use POLYFIBER FILL as the padding in their winter jackets. Different weights of material are used according to the different areas of use.
The weight is measured in g/m². The higher the amount, the greater the heat retention properties. |
