Jack Wolfskin Mens Dissenter Jacket
A new alpine jacket with a lean and clean design and the focus on essential performance features. With its innovative ‘dynamic breathability’ fabric, low weight and stripped-down detailing, the DISSENTER is the real deal for the dedicated alpine purist looking for high performance outdoor clothing.
The fabric, TEXAPORE AIR O3+, is a very lightweight, waterproof and windproof 3 layer laminate with outstanding breathability performance (MVTR: 30,000 g/m2/24 h) – and that’s just when standing still! During high aerobic output this value increases, since the membrane is also air permeable. This means that air exchange occurs through the fabric, which improves the wear climate significantly. The jacket has an ACROBAT CUT (climbers, take note!) and water resistant zips to save weight.
The offset front zip prevents the zip pullers on the various garments in the layering system bunching uncomfortably at the neck. The fixed hood forms a functional unit with the rest of the jacket and offers effective weather protection. The generous chest pockets are readily accessible when wearing a climbing harness or rucksack waist belt.

TEXAPORE AIR O3+ 3L
The key feature of this new 3-layer laminate is its air permeability, which significantly enhances the already exceptional moisture vapour transmission rate of TEXAPORE O3 through a process known as ‘dynamic breathability’. The membrane exhibits the usual windproof and waterproof performance but is additionally air permeable. This results in exchange (convection) over the entire surface of the fabric, a process that accelerates with increased physical activity.
The jacket also contains a number of other useful features.
Ultra light hood - Cut out of the body of the garment, i.e. firmly attached to the jacket, this hood offers maximum weather protection at a minimum weight.
The field of vision can be regulated by a one-hand operated encapsulated drawcord toggle and an elasticated tape at the back automatically regulates the volume. A storm peak provides extra face protection.
Offset front zip - The slanted course of the front zip up to the collar means that the various layers of clothing lie better on each other because the zips are not piled on top of each other.
Inner pocket - An inner pocket for travel documents, keys, small items of equipment etc.
Articulated elbows - A detail on our jackets and shirts. The elbow section is anatomically tailored to conform to the natural biomechanics of the elbow, significantly improving freedom of movement.
Acrobat cut
The section of the jacket where the sleeve meets the body is generously tailored to allow the arms to be raised above the head without the hem of the jacket riding up.
