The Colorado 300 comes with built-in worldwide basemaps along with shaded relief. The device accepts SD cards so that you can accommodate all your outdoor activities on both land and water. You can choose from Garmin's preprogrammed SD cards including street maps, topographic maps, coastal charts or inland lake data. SD cards are located inside the GPS's waterproof battery compartment, so there's no panic if it gets a little wet!
Colorado now features a 'Rock 'n Roller' input wheel for quick and easy one-handed operation. The unit also supports Geocaching.com GPX files for downloading geocaches and detail.
You can even show off photographs of previous excursions by using the built in picture viewer. The high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS reciever ensures that the Colorado 300 locates your position precisely and timely and will even maintain it's GPS location in heavy cover and deep foliage.
